The rationale behind its use for adrenal support comes from its reputation for calming the mind, reducing anxiety, and supporting restful sleep, all of which are considered beneficial for adrenal health in holistic frameworks. Historical Ayurvedic texts describe Jatamansi as having "medhya" (mind-enhancing) and "rasayana" (rejuvenating) properties, which are interpreted as helpful for the stress response and overall vitality—including adrenal function.
However, direct scientific evidence connecting Jatamansi specifically to adrenal gland health is limited.
