Synopsis

Source of validity: Traditional
Rating (out of 5): 1

Noni (Morinda citrifolia) has a long history of use in traditional medicine systems, particularly in Polynesia and Southeast Asia. Traditionally, noni fruit and juice have been used for a variety of health concerns, including fatigue, general wellness, and immune support. Some proponents claim noni may support the adrenal glands by helping the body cope with stress or by providing overall tonic effects on bodily systems. However, these uses are based on anecdotal and cultural practices rather than targeted clinical research on the adrenal glands themselves.

Scientific studies on noni primarily focus on its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and potential immune-modulating properties. There is little to no direct clinical evidence or mechanistic research supporting a specific, beneficial effect of noni on adrenal gland function or hormone production. While noni may contribute to overall well-being, the claim that it specifically supports the adrenal glands is not substantiated by robust scientific data. Most of the support for noni in this context is therefore best characterized as traditional rather than evidence-based.
