Bird's nest, specifically edible bird's nest made from the saliva of swiftlets, has been traditionally used in Chinese medicine for various health benefits, including supporting recovery from illness and promoting overall wellness. In some traditional beliefs, it is thought to nourish the body and boost vitality, which can be loosely associated with supporting conditions like anemia. However, there is a lack of direct scientific evidence or rigorous clinical studies demonstrating significant hematopoietic (blood-forming) effects or efficacy in treating anemia. Bird’s nest is not a significant source of iron or other nutrients directly involved in red blood cell synthesis.
