In traditional Chinese medicine, Cowherb seeds are believed to promote blood circulation, reduce swelling, and address "blood stasis"—a concept often associated with chronic liver diseases. Ancient texts and traditional herbal compendia describe Cowherb as a component of formulas targeting liver disorders, although cirrhosis as understood in modern medicine is not directly referenced.
