Traditional herbal and naturopathic systems have used citrus extracts to bolster general immunity and reduce the severity or duration of colds. However, scientific evidence specifically linking citrus bioflavonoids to direct antiviral effects against cold viruses (such as rhinoviruses or coronaviruses) is limited.
