Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus), also known as Siberian ginseng, has been traditionally used in Eastern medicine, particularly in Russia and China, as an adaptogen believed to support the body's response to stress. This "adaptogenic" effect is linked in folk and herbal traditions to support of the glandular (endocrine) system, specifically the adrenal glands, which are involved in the body's stress response.
