Salmon oil is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, particularly EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which have been studied for their various health benefits. The glandular system, also known as the endocrine system, includes glands such as the thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary, which secrete hormones to regulate diverse bodily functions.

There is moderate scientific evidence that omega-3 fatty acids can have indirect positive effects on the glandular system. For example, research suggests that omega-3s may help reduce inflammation and support cellular membrane health, potentially benefiting hormone-producing glands. Some studies indicate that omega-3 supplementation might improve adrenal function by modulating the body’s response to stress. Limited data have also shown a potential for omega-3s to positively influence thyroid hormone levels and insulin sensitivity, although these effects are not yet well-established or directly tied to salmon oil specifically.
