Peptides are short chains of amino acids that serve as building blocks for proteins, including keratin, which is a primary structural component of hair. The use of peptides in hair care and supplementation is supported by emerging scientific evidence, though research is still ongoing and somewhat limited.

Several studies have indicated that certain bioactive peptides, when applied topically or ingested, may promote hair growth and improve hair strength. For example, copper peptides have been shown to stimulate hair follicle growth and extend the anagen (growth) phase of hair in laboratory and animal studies. Some clinical studies report improvements in hair density and thickness in humans when peptides are included in topical formulations. The proposed mechanisms include enhanced collagen production, improved blood circulation to the scalp, and anti-inflammatory effects, all of which contribute to a healthier environment for hair growth.

Despite these promising findings, large-scale, long-term clinical trials in diverse populations are still needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of peptides for hair health. Until then, the use of peptides for supporting the hair body system can be described as scientifically plausible, with a moderate level of evidence supporting their benefit.
