Hyperimmune milk peptides are derived from the milk of cows that have been immunized with specific bacterial antigens, resulting in milk containing elevated levels of immunoglobulins and other immune-active proteins. Scientific studies, primarily small-scale human trials and animal research, have explored the potential of hyperimmune milk to support the prevention or treatment of certain bacterial infections, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. For example, hyperimmune bovine colostrum or milk targeted against pathogens such as Escherichia coli, Clostridium difficile, and Helicobacter pylori has been investigated for its effectiveness in reducing infection severity or supporting the eradication of these bacteria.
