Modern scientific research on Sargassum's effects on joint health is limited. Some studies have examined its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which could potentially benefit joint health by reducing inflammation or oxidative stress, both of which play a role in joint disorders such as arthritis. For example, extracts from Sargassum species have shown anti-inflammatory activity in cell and animal models. However, these studies are preliminary, and there is a lack of rigorous clinical trials in humans directly linking Sargassum supplementation to improved joint health or relief from joint pain.
