Source of validity: Scientific
Rating (out of 5): 4

Immunoglobulins (antibodies) are widely recognized and scientifically validated for their critical role in supporting the lymphatic system, particularly its immune functions. The lymphatic system is integral to immune surveillance and response, and immunoglobulins are key molecules produced by B lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell resident in lymphatic tissues). They bind to pathogens, neutralize toxins, and mark invading organisms for destruction by other immune cells. Clinically, immunoglobulin therapy (intravenous immunoglobulin, IVIG) is used to treat various primary and secondary immunodeficiency disorders, many of which involve lymphatic tissues and their ability to mount immune responses. Furthermore, scientific research has demonstrated that passive immunization with immunoglobulins can help support or restore immune function in patients with compromised lymphatic/immune systems. While this use is based on direct scientific understanding of immune physiology rather than tradition, it is important to note that immunoglobulin supplementation is typically reserved for specific medical conditions and not used as a general supplement for healthy individuals. The strong scientific foundation for immunoglobulins’ role in immune defense and their direct impact on lymphatic system function justify their use in clinical settings related to lymphatic health.
