Supplementation with certain lipids, such as phospholipids (e.g., phosphatidylcholine) and omega-3 fatty acids, has been shown in some studies to improve mitochondrial membrane composition and function. For example, omega-3 fatty acids can enhance mitochondrial biogenesis and efficiency, while phospholipids can help repair damaged mitochondrial membranes.
