Luo Han Guo (Siraitia grosvenorii), also known as monk fruit, has a long history of use in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM theory, Luo Han Guo is considered beneficial for the lungs and throat, often used to relieve coughs and sore throat, and to moisten dryness. There is some traditional precedent for using Luo Han Guo to support digestive health, but its direct association with the "Pancreas Head" body system is not well-established in either traditional Chinese texts or modern scientific literature. In TCM, the concept of the "pancreas" is often subsumed under the broader "Spleen" system, which governs digestion and the transformation of nutrients, but Luo Han Guo is not a primary herb for this purpose.

Modern research focuses largely on Luo Han Guo's sweet compounds (mogrosides), which are used as natural sweeteners, and their potential anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-diabetic properties. Some animal and in vitro studies suggest that mogrosides may help regulate blood glucose levels, but evidence specific to direct pancreatic support, let alone to the "Pancreas Head," is lacking. Therefore, Luo Han Guo’s use in support of this body system is based more on traditional practices related to general digestive health rather than targeted scientific validation.
