Daylily (Hemerocallis fulva) has been traditionally used in East Asian medicine, particularly in Chinese herbal practices, to support the stomach and digestive health. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), daylily flowers (known as "jin zhen cai" or "golden needle vegetable") have been used for their purported ability to clear heat, reduce dampness, and promote diuresis. They are sometimes employed to help with symptoms such as poor appetite, indigestion, and abdominal discomfort. The flowers are commonly used in soups and other dishes, believed to have a mild tonic effect on the digestive system and to soothe the stomach.
