COVID-19 vaccinations will be available for children aged 6 months to 5 years through the Southern Nevada Health District.

Beginning June 22, 2022, the Southern Nevada Health District will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 6 months to 5 years

The Pfizer vaccine, which comes in a three-dose series, will be provided in the Health District's clinics at first.

Dr. Leguen stated, "The availability of immunizations for younger children is another essential step in our continuous attempts to lessen the pandemics."

Three weeks after the first dose, the second one is given. The third dose is given eight weeks after the second.

The Moderna vaccine is approved for children aged 6 months to 5 years in a two-dose series, with the second dose given 28 days later.
