SereneSkin is a multi-ingredient probiotic capsule formulated to support skin health through the gut-skin axis — the bidirectional communication pathway linking gut microbiome composition to the immune, inflammatory, and microbial processes that govern skin appearance and barrier function. It is intended for adults and children ages 3 and older who want to support skin clarity, moisture retention, texture, and overall complexion through internal supplementation. Two capsules daily with a meal is the recommended dose. The formula combines four spore-forming Bacillus probiotic strains with MenaquinGold® vitamin K2 MK-7, MicrobiomeX® citrus polyphenols, and Lumenato™ golden tomato carotenoids — a layered approach to skin support that addresses gut microbiome diversity, vitamin K-dependent skin proteins, antioxidant defense, and inflammatory regulation simultaneously.

The probiotic component consists of four Bacillus strains — B. indicus HU36™, B. subtilis HU58™, B. coagulans SC-208, and B. clausii SC-109 — providing 6.5 billion CFU per two-capsule serving. As spore-forming organisms, these strains survive gastric transit intact and colonize the large intestine in their active form, where they modulate the gut microbiome and support intestinal barrier integrity. B. indicus HU36™ is notable for its ability to produce carotenoid antioxidants — including lycopene, astaxanthin, beta-carotene, and lutein — directly in the intestine at the site of absorption, providing localized antioxidant activity that systemic supplementation cannot replicate as efficiently. The vitamin K2 is supplied as MenaquinGold® MK-7, the natural all-trans form produced through solvent-free chickpea fermentation, which activates the vitamin K-dependent protein osteocalcin and is associated with support for skin firmness and thickness by maintaining collagen structure. MicrobiomeX® contributes a prebiotic-like effect, selectively supporting beneficial gut bacteria that produce short-chain fatty acids, while Lumenato™ provides phytoene and phytofluene — colorless carotenoids from golden tomatoes that have been studied for photoprotective antioxidant activity in skin.
