Sinopsis

El colesterol bajo, o hipocolesterolemia, se refiere a niveles anormalmente bajos de colesterol en la sangre, típicamente colesterol total por debajo de 120 mg/dL o colesterol LDL por debajo de 50–60 mg/dL. Si bien el colesterol alto es bien conocido por sus riesgos cardiovasculares, el colesterol muy bajo también puede ser perjudicial.
